How well are your hooks balanced with building trust?
As in, a steak on sale stopped me in my tracks at the grocery store (perfect hook). But will it be tender or tough after I cook it on the grill this weekend (trust).
We know a great hook can’t carry the weight alone.
It must be backed by genuine trust; otherwise, no one’s coming back for seconds.
With every video I post on my Should I Cook It Channel, bringing the two into balance isn’t just about outcomes but also tone. When we hit “record,” it’s easy to slip into “convince mode.” But compare that to a conversation with a close friend. It’s more giving, more trusting.
It’s a process. It takes practice. It requires a giving mindset.
But when you find that balance, you capture attention and build trust so the new people to your content, click the next post for a second helping.
