It could be the person standing off-camera.
I’ve noticed that some of the most engaging content features a “supporting cast” the audience never actually sees.
David Chilton’s “Mo” or Tom J. Stewart’s “Cyrus” comes to mind. Even without an on-screen appearance, they turn viewers into participants who feel like they’re part of the inner circle.
I’m thinking of bringing “Futch” into my own Should I Cook It? videos. She won’t have to step in front of the lens, but her influence might just make the stories feel more human and a lot stickier.
